An international consortium co-led by Vanderbilt University Medical Center immunogeneticist Ruben Martinez-Barricarte, PhD, has discovered a new genetic disorder that causes immunodeficiency and profound susceptibility to opportunistic infections including a life-threatening fungal pneumonia.
