Brown, Ryan Urge Whirlpool Against Terminating the Life Insurance Benefits of Hoover Company Retirees

CLEVELAND, Ohio, Dec. 24 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release and letter:

U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Congressman Tim Ryan (D-OH-13) sent a letter to the Whirlpool Corporation calling on the company to reconsider its decision to terminate Whirlpool Corporation retirement benefits for Hoover Company retirees. Whirlpool is set to terminate the Hoover Company retirees' life insurance benefits on January 1, 2023.
