WASHINGTON, Dec. 22 -- Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-New Hampshire, issued the following news release:

U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan joined her colleagues on the Senate floor to speak about the importance of protecting democracy.

This week, Congress is set to pass bipartisan legislation, which Senator Hassan cosponsored, to reform and modernize the Electoral Count Act.
