WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the U.S. Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) awarded $1.5 million to the Lawrence Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) for the Appalachian Underground Railroad Heritage Tourism Initiative. Funding will be used to develop a tri-state tourism initiative between Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
