WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Rural Energy Savings Program (RESP) awarded $2.5 million to NOPEC, Inc. Funding will be used to finance an energy efficiency relending program to support projects that will improve the energy efficiency of consumer properties across the state.
