SANTA FE, New Mexico, Dec. 14 -- The New Mexico Democratic Party issued the following news release on Dec. 13, 2022:
President Joe Biden signed the landmark Respect for Marriage Act into law, enshrining marriage equality protections for Americans. It builds on generations of civil rights advocacy to bring stability and security to millions of LGBTQ+ and interracial couples who will be guaranteed the rights and protections to which they and their children are entitled.
