Reacting to government moves to ease the de facto ban on onshore wind, Friends of the Earth's head of policy, Mike Childs, said:
"The ban on onshore wind should have been lifted years ago.
"We need all the tools we have to tackle the climate and cost-of-living crises, and cheap, clean and popular wind power has a cru . . .
