OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, Dec. 3 -- Sen. James Lankford, R-Oklahoma, issued the following news release:
Senator James Lankford (R-OK) was joined by Senators Jim Inhofe (R-OK) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) to introduce a bill to amend the National Trails System Act to designate Route 66 as a National Historic Trail. Importantly, this bill incorporates important safeguards to ensure no future potential harm to energy development projects occur as a result of the designation.
