Governor Ige Extends Emergency SNAP Benefits Through The Holidays To Address Food Insecurity

HONOLULU, Hawaii, Nov. 18 -- Gov. David Ige, D-Hawaii, issued the following news release on Nov. 17, 2022:

Gov. David Ige signed a fifth emergency proclamation today extending Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) emergency allotment benefits through January 16, 2023. The program is backed by federal COVID relief funding.

"Food insecurity is just one of the lingering effects of the pandemic, and SNAP benefits provide Hawaii families with nutritious food, . . .
