U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, released the following statement after President Biden announced the nomination of the Honorable Martin J. Gruenberg to be Chair of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Gruenberg has served as Acting Chair of the FDIC since February.
