In recognition of her trailblazing work uncovering the mechanisms of the p53 tumor suppressor, Guillermina "Gigi" Lozano, Ph.D., chair of Genetics at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, has received the 2022 Award for Distinguished Research in the Biomedical Sciences by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).
