Senators Collins, King Announce Over $725,000 To Support Law Enforcement Officers In Five Communities Across Maine

WASHINGTON, Oct. 27 -- Sen. Angus S. King Jr., I-Maine, issued the following news release:

U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King announced that four Maine municipalities and Penobscot County have received a total of $726,492 to hire law enforcement officers. This funding was awarded through the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Hiring Program.
