JACKSONVILLE, Florida, Oct. 22 -- The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity issued the following news:
Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the Jacksonville area's unemployment rate decreased to 2.5 percent in September 2022, down from 3.5 reported in September 2021. The Jacksonville area industry gaining the most jobs over the year in September 2022 was professional and business services, increasing by 16,000 jobs leading all metro areas in job gains over the year.
