KNOXVILLE, Tennessee, Oct. 20 (TNSgov) -- The Southern Poverty Law Center posted the following news release on Oct. 19, 2022:

On Oct. 19, a federal judge preliminarily approved a class settlement of a lawsuit challenging an April 2018 immigration raid. The settlement provides over $1 million to workers detained as part of the raid, which took place at a meat processing plant in East Tennessee and was, at the time, the largest workplace raid in nearly a decade.
