WASHINGTON, Oct. 18 -- The National Republican Senatorial Committee issued the following news release:
A new poll released over the weekend shows Republican Senate candidate Leora Levy closing in on career politician Dick Blumenthal. In a state Joe Biden won by 20 points, Levy has closed the gap to 5 points (49-44) with 7% undecided.
Levy continues to lead with Independents, the largest voting bloc in Connecticut. She has a 17-point lead among independent voters (54-37) . . .
