WASHINGTON, Oct. 6 -- Rep. Kweisi Mfume, D-Maryland, issued the following news release:
Senators Chris Van Hollen and Ben Cardin and Congressmen Kweisi Mfume, Dutch Ruppersberger, John Sarbanes, and David Trone (all D-Md.) announced $1,029,802 in federal funding to strengthen Maryland students' math and science skills. The funds come from the U.S. Department of Education's Upward Bound Math and Science Program, which supports academic and career counseling to help students . . .
