WASHINGTON, Sept. 22 -- Sen. Richard J. Durbin, D-Illinois, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued the following news release:
The Senate Judiciary Committee today advanced Thomas E. Brown, to be United States Marshal forthe Northern District of Georgia, and Kirk M. Taylor, to be United States Marshal for the District of Colorado, by voice vote.
The Committee also advanced S. 673, the Journalism Competition and Preservation Act (JCPA), sponsored by Senators . . .
