WASHINGTON, Sept. 23 -- Rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine, issued the following news release on Sept. 21, 2022:
The House of Representatives passed the Invest to Protect Act today, a bill for which Congressman Jared Golden (ME-02) is an original cosponsor, to establish $300 million in federal grant funding through the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) program specifically for small police departments like the vast majority of those in Maine.
