Alaska Gov. Dunleavy Prepares Federal Disaster Declaration Request

JUNEAU, Alaska, Sept. 20 -- Gov. Mike Dunleavy, R-Alaska, issued the following news release on Sept. 19, 2022:

Governor Mike Dunleavy will request a Federal Disaster Declaration for the 2022 September storm currently impacting the west coast of Alaska. The damage assessment is now taking place with the State, local governments, regional entities, and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
