ALBANY, New York, Sept. 16 (TNSjou) -- Project Coyote issued the following news release and letter on Sept. 15, 2022:
Nearly 40 regional and national conservation groups and leading independent scientists sent a letter today urging the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to take concrete steps to protect wolves returning to the state.
Since 1993 at least 10 wolves are known by the public to have been killed by being shot or trapped in locations south . . .
