WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 -- Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Washington, issued the following news release:
President Joe Biden will travel to Columbus, Ohio to celebrate the groundbreaking of Intel's new semiconductor manufacturing plant. The company's new expansion marks the first major investment in domestic microchip manufacturing directly linked to the passage of the CHIPS & Science Act, which was championed by Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and signed into law on Aug. 9.
