Butterfield (NC-01) issued the following statement after President Biden announced the Department of Education is providing up to $20,000 in debt cancellation to Pell Grant recipients and up to $10,000 in debt cancellation to non-Pell Grant recipients, capping the amount borrowers would pay monthly for undergraduate loans at 5 percent of their income, . . .
