WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 -- Rep. Nikema Williams, D-Georgia, issued the following news release on Aug. 8, 2022:

On Friday, Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) introduced The John Lewis Civil Rights Fellowship Act:, bipartisan, bicameral legislation to create the John Lewis Civil Rights Fellowship within the Fulbright Scholarship Program. The fellowship will support scholars who want to study nonviolent civil rights movements abroad.
