Scott, D-Virginia, chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee, issued the following opening statement at a hearing on July 27, 2022, on the markup of the Asuncion Valdivia Heat Illness and Fatality Prevention Act (H.R. 2193) and the Healthy Meals, Healthy Kids Act (H.R. 8450):
