TOPEKA, Kansas, Aug. 2 -- The Kansas Democratic Party issued the following news release on Aug. 1, 2022:
Current Republican State Senator Dennis Pyle announced his campaign successfully collected nearly 9,000 signatures - nearly 4,000 more than needed - to get on the ballot this fall, ramping up what is just the start of nasty infighting between Republicans Pyle and Derek Schmidt.
This is the latest example of Derek Schmidt's problems with his own party and signals . . .
