WASHINGTON, July 21 -- Sen. Mark Warner, D-Virginia, issued the following news release:
U.S. Sens. Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine (both D-VA) joined Sens. Edward J. Markey (D-MA), Mazie Hirono (D-HI), and Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) in introducing the Right to Contraception Act, legislation that would codify Americans' right to contraception, which the Supreme Court first recognized more than half a century ago in its decision in Griswold v. Connecticut.
