WASHINGTON, July 15 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release:
The House passed Rep. Ted Budd's (R-NC) amendment expanding the Veterans-to-Classrooms program by $240 million. The amendment was included in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which Rep. Budd also supported.
Rep. Budd's amendment provides financial assistance to current and former members of the military to become teachers and school resource officers.
