WASHINGTON, July 11 -- Rep. Lucy McBath, D-Georgia, issued the following news release:
Representative Lucy McBath visited the White House to celebrate the passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the first major legislative action on gun violence prevention in almost 30 years. The bill, which included parts of Rep. McBath's "Red Flag" legislation, passed the House and Senate late last month, with the President enacting it into law shortly after.
