WASHINGTON, July 8 -- Rep. Buddy Carter, R-Georgia, issued the following news release:
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will now allow authorized, state-licensed pharmacists to prescribe Paxlovid, an oral treatment for COVID-19.
Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA), a pharmacist by trade, sees this Emergency Use Authorization expansion as the necessary link between COVID-19 patients and treatment:
"Pharmacists are the most accessible . . .
