LANSING, Michigan, June 29 -- Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, D-Michigan, issued the following news release:

Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed a state of emergency for Mecosta County to address the impacts of severe thunderstorms and flooding that caused widespread damage last month.
