U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (Kan.) today released the following statement after voting to oppose the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.
"I am a strong defender of the Constitution and the Second Amendment. We can and must do a better job of preventing violence, however we must work to address the root issues of violent crime rather than create new laws . . .
