The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee voted to advance Steve Dettelbach's nomination to serve as the Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) forward. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) introduced Dettelbach, a Cleveland native and former Senate-confirmed U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, to the committee last month.
