WASHINGTON, June 14 -- Rep. Sharice Davids, D-Kansas, issued the following news release on June 13, 2022:
Representative Sharice Davids announced that $23.9 million is coming to the Upper Turkey Creek flood mitigation project in Merriam, Kansas--a longtime priority of the community. This bipartisan infrastructure law funding will be used to lift downtown Merriam out of the floodplain and reduce flood risk to businesses and homes in the area.
