Hawaii Gov. Ige Signs Gun Inspection Bill

HONOLULU, Hawaii, June 4 -- Gov. David Ige, D-Hawaii, issued the following news release on June 3, 2022:

Gov. David Ige today signed HB2075 (Act 030), restoring part of a previous gun law that was struck down by a federal court last year.

The new law requires the physical, in-person inspection of three categories of firearms that have been identified by county police chiefs as top concerns and threats to public safety. They are:
