WASHINGTON, June 2 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release on June 2, 2022:
Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) announced that he will sponsor H.R. 1635: STOP II: Classrooms Over Conference Rooms Act. The bill adds $100 million to the STOP School Violence Act, which funds grant programs to help local schools afford the resources necessary to protect and defend students and teachers.
The bill was originally introduced by Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC).
