HARTFORD, Connecticut, May 28 -- Gov. Ned Lamont, D-Connecticut, issued the following news release:

Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he has signed into law Public Act 22-128, which establishes a new legal state holiday on June 19 known as Juneteenth Independence Day.
