WASHINGTON, May 20 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release and letter:
U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) applauded the Ohio Power Siting Board for rejecting American Transmission Systems' proposed Lincoln Park-Riverbend Transmission project, which would have had significant impacts on the quality of life for the residents of the Mahoning Valley, and deterred future development plans in the revitalization of downtown Youngstown along the riverbank.
