WASHINGTON, May 18 -- Rep. Sanford D. Bishop Jr., D-Georgia, issued the following news release:
Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (GA-02), co-chair of the Congressional Job Corps Caucus, supported the approval of H.R. 7309, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. This bill would reauthorize vital workforce training and apprenticeship programs as well as expand program eligibility to more Americans. The bill was approved by a vote of 220-196.
