WASHINGTON, May 18 -- Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-West Virginia, issued the following news release on May 17, 2022:

U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), both members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $26.6 million from the U.S. Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE) for Abandoned Mine Land Economic Revitalization (AMLER) projects across West Virginia.
