WASHINGTON, May 17 -- Rep. Kevin Hern, R-Oklahoma, issued the following news release:

House Ways and Means Social Security Subcommittee Chairman John B. Larson (CT-01) and Acting Ranking Member Kevin Hern (OK-01) sent the following letter to Social Security Administration (SSA) Inspector General Gail Ennis requesting answers regarding SSA's telephone service performance after reports of substantial disruptions:
