SHEPHERDSTOWN, West Virginia, May 11 (TNSRes) -- Shepherd University issued the following news:
The West Virginia Humanities Council has awarded a $10,000 grant to the Shepherd University Foundation, enabling the Center for Appalachian Studies and Communities to bring novelist Barbara Kingsolver to West Virginia as the Shepherd University Appalachian Heritage Writer-in-Residence and One Book, One West Virginia author.
