CONCORD, New Hampshire, May 10 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - New England Field Office issued the following news release:
Utilized production in Maine for 2021 totaled 105 million pounds, up significantly from 2020, according to Pam Hird, state statistician of the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service, New England Field Office. Area harvested was estimated at 21,000 acres, up 1% from the previous year.
