JUNEAU, Alaska, May 6 -- Alaska Attorney General Treg R. Taylor issued the following news release on May 4, 2022:
Attorney General Treg Taylor today secured $437,690.65 from the owner of TurboTax, Intuit Inc. (Intuit), for deceiving consumers into paying for tax services that should have been free. As a result of an agreement across all 50 States, Intuit will pay $141 million in restitution to millions of consumers across the nation who were unfairly charged. More than 14,000 Alaska . . .
