LANSING, Michigan, May 5 (TNSAwa) -- The Michigan Department of Education issued the following news release on May 4, 2022:

Escanaba Area Public Schools first grade teacher Nanette Hanson has been named the 2022-23 Michigan Teacher of the Year (MTOY).
