WASHINGTON, May 3 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded a $1,896,987 grant to The Ohio State University (OSU) to fund geological research training opportunities in polar regions. The project aims to expand the U.S. Polar Rock Repository, allowing a quicker collection of samples from polar areas to be used to their full scientific potential.
