Rep. Budd Sponsors Bill to Use Title 42 to Stop Fentanyl at Border

WASHINGTON, April 20 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release:
Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) has sponsored H.R. 7359, the Stop Fentanyl Border Crossings Act. The bill allows the Title 42 public health order to be extended beyond May 23, 2022 and authorizes it to be used to stop Fentanyl smuggling at the southern border.
The legislation was originally introduced by Rep. Scott DesJarlais (R-TN).
