WASHINGTON, March 19 -- The Democratic Governors Association issued the following news:

After a "stampede of candidates" filed for the GOP primary, the Associated Press reported that Pennsylvania Republican party leaders are worried the crowded GOP primary field could fracture the base and produce an unelectable nominee.

"We don't want to allow a bad or poor candidate for the general election to potentially get through with a plurality due to the num . . .
