This morning, Rep. Greg Murphy, M.D. (NC-03) participated in a Ways and Means Oversight Subcommittee hearing with IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig regarding the 2022 Tax Filing Season. In his remarks, Rep. Murphy questioned Commissioner Retting about the tremendous backlog in unprocessed business and individual IRS returns and scrutinized the IRS for their inefficiency.
