WASHINGTON, March 16 -- Rep. Ted Budd, R-North Carolina, issued the following news release:
Rep. Ted Budd has sponsored H.R. 6858, the American Energy Independence from Russia Act. The bill would restart drilling for gas on federal lands and waters, resume construction on the Keystone XL Pipeline, and greenlight American natural gas exports.
The legislation was originally introduced by Rep. Cathy McMorris-Rodgers (R-WA).
