WASHINGTON, March 12 -- Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) announced that his amendment to the reports section of the Haiti Development, Accountability, and Institutional Transparency Initiative Act, to address kidnappings in Haiti, has been included in the FY 2022 bipartisan funding agreement.
This amendment requires "an assessment of U.S. interagency efforts to combat kidnapping and armed violence in Haiti . . .
